Cloud Migration Case Study: Why Liquid Grids Moved from AWS to AIS

Learn why (and how) Liquid Grids made the transition from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to AIS (American Internet Services) for cloud computing.

Liquid Grids is a San Diego-based firm that empowers life science companies to listen, understand & strategically engage in online health dialogue.

Liquid Grids, CTO, Ramos Mays will describe:
• the company’s experience with AWS
• the reasons for switching to AIS
• their migration process, and
• lessons learned.

This will be a “real deal” discussion in which the good, the bad, and the ugly are shared amongst both business and IT peers.

Speaker:
Ramos Mays, CTO, Liquid Grids with introduction by Brian Wood, VP Marketing, AIS

Ramos is a highly talented and accomplished technologist. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, did his Master’s work in Condensed Matter Physics in Stockholm, Sweden, and has been awarded multiple biotech and software patents. Ramos held a variety of software engineering positions before founding and serving as the Chief Science Officer of Somark Innovations, a venture-backed biotechnology company. Most recently he was the founder and CEO of Dealstream Media where he created new innovations to serve contextual adverts and offers to consumers in real-time simultaneously across media platforms. Ramos has been the recipient of multiple recognitions including the SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year, being named in the St. Louis Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Technology list, and was nominated for MIT’s TR35 Young Innovator Award two years in a row.
