Rollet Shares Strategic Perspective and Covers Future of Data Center

 

SAN DIEGO – August 10, 2016 – AIS Data Centers, the Southwest market leader for business-ready IT infrastructure, today announced that CEO Greg Rollet will join the data center panel to share his strategic perspective at the 2016 Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) at 8:30 a.m., August 13th at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel.

Serving as a member of the Data Center: Up and Running 24/7 panel, Rollet will be joined by an array of powerful academic, industry and public sector thought leaders, including, J. P. Shim of Georgia State University, Aaron French of University of New Mexico, Michael Goul of Arizona State University, Randy Eskridge of Teradata Corporation and Paul Rising for the City of San Diego. Panelists will cover data center trends and topics, such as security and compliance, educational perspectives, design and environments (i.e. LEED certification), modernization, power and cooling, and more.

Rollet’s segment of the panel will touch on subjects such as data center evolution, myths vs. realities and future data center transformation. He will explore the current competitive landscape, including the evolution of the data center operator from a simple provider of space, power and bandwidth to a true business partner. He will also discuss the role of mega cloud providers as industry influencers and how they are pushing data center services and capabilities to the next level.

An established IT and data center expert, Mr. Rollet has an extensive technology background with nearly 30 years of business, sales, and management experience, including 20+ years in the IT sector. Prior to his current role as CEO of AIS Data Centers, he was senior director of operations and service delivery at EMC where he managed over 150,000 square feet of hosting and cloud infrastructure supporting EMC business units worldwide. Before EMC, he spent nearly a decade as regional data center operator Peak 10, including four years as senior vice president of market operations with responsibility for overseeing the financial, service delivery, support, sales management, and facilities operations.

Mr. Rollet will be appearing at the 22nd annual AMCIS event, which is the premier conference of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) and is open only to AIS members.
