San Diego County selects AIS
The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) has selected AIS in San Diego for colocation services. These services will support the SDCOE’s critical IT operations. AIS cited service, performance, security and value as key criteria for selection.
AIS provides datacenter, cloud and managed services, operating datacenters in San Diego, Phoenix and Los Angeles. The company offers geographical diversity to support both primary and secondary or business-continuity services. AIS is privately held and backed by Seaport Capital, Viridian Investment Partners and DuPont Capital Management.
The SDCOE provides district and school improvement and budget approval and monitoring services to 42 school districts and five community colleges in the county. These services support more than 750 schools and nearly 500,000 students. The SDCOE also offers regional services for surrounding counties.
We continue to see government agencies migrating primary mission-critical operations to MTDC facilities to support rapid growth. Often, these agencies look for a local or regional provider that offers a level of redundancy and security that is typically too costly to build in-house, providing cost-effective data storage.
