AIS ClearCompute is a virtualization environment that consists of applications and data libraries widely used by the Life Sciences research community. BLAST (Basic Local Alignment Search Tool), one of the initial applications, compares sequence data to publicly available and / or private data sets to identify regions of local similarity. Using AIS ClearCompute, the pattern matching speed will be greatly accelerated. Similarly, Galaxy is an open, web-based platform for performing accessible, reproducible, and transparent genomic science, while RNA-Seq refers to the use of high-throughput sequencing technologies.
